Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 21, 2026
Earmarked stores all data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share your personal information.
Earmarked is an audio bookmarking app designed for podcast producers and anyone who works with long-form audio. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.
Data Storage
All data created and managed by Earmarked — including your audio library, bookmarks, voice memos, and app settings — is stored locally on your device. No data is stored on external servers.
Data Collection
Earmarked does not collect any personal information. We do not use analytics, tracking, cookies, or advertising of any kind.
Device Permissions
Earmarked requests the following device permissions:
- Storage access: To import and play audio files from your device or cloud storage apps (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
- Microphone access: To record voice memo annotations on your bookmarks. Voice memos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
Transcription
Earmarked includes a built-in transcription feature that converts your voice memos to text entirely on your device. No audio data is sent to any external server for transcription. The transcription model runs locally and does not require an internet connection.
Data Sharing
Earmarked does not share your data with any third parties. The app includes export features (CSV and zip bundles) that you may use to share your bookmarks and voice memos at your own discretion.
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by removing files from your library within the app or by uninstalling the app.
Children's Privacy
Earmarked is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted here with an updated date.
